Scale-up chemical process

VisiMix scaling-up chemical process options: We have two main options, one that we will release now and the other at the end of the year. However, the main point of the first option is to have some reference in the lab for the pilot. In this way, by one click on a button, we can fix the geometry and dynamic similarity, and provide you directly with the design parameters needed for the large equipment in order to solve process problems (e.g., crystallization, emulsification, or homogenization). The second option is to select the operation and software that will tell you which parameters are important to keep fixed. And now you can also complete the technology transfer process easily.

Chemical process technology and evaluation

You’ll be able to compare processes in one click of a button. You can just select the process compare option in the software and generate tables. These tables will compare between the  equipment you use and the equipment which is available according to the unit operations you need. The comparison process will help making the scaling up process successful and easy. The purpose of this new function is to provide a sustainable definition of both equipment characteristics and process after scale-up procedures or scale down. If you know your process in the production stage like the methodology, you will be able to go to the pilot and test which small equipment will be able to provide you: the same energy participation or the same solid distribution reaction rate, or the same crystallization or whatever you’re looking for. And compare all of this in one click of a button and the software will show you the desired results in a few seconds. The first option will result in a prototype for the production lab to study the kinetics and calculate the rotation speed, power, energy, and pressure. The second option will use key parameters for the unit operation while the software will define the required parameters to fix and, later on, scale-up the equipment you’ll need to use.
