What is chemical process calculation?

When we want to run a process simulation and then transfer it to the next step, for example, process scale-up or technology transfer to another facility, we usually run many scenarios to represent capability in progressing to the next process step. But we need to organize this data in some way.

Typically, companies do this by transferring all the data to Excel and then selecting specific representative parameters for each scenario being evaluated. Through this technology transfer, we can evaluate simulation data for each process we are managing. This means that each process must have a set of defined mixing parameters that will control the process. Using those parameters, we can then guide our customers through the software by clicking two buttons: “Scale–Up” software, which connects the process with the mixing parameter that controls the process, and a second button for process evaluation of the staining and transfer process. This allows us to connect the projects and open them in VisiMix to observe all the relevant mixing parameters that will control the process in different scenarios. Different scenarios can be selected: e.g., from the lab to the pilot, from the pilot to production, keeping things in the same geometry or a similar geometry, or changing the geometry.

The interface between the simulation software (e.g., VisiMix) and Excel should be designed in a coherent and professional way. Hence, we have developed a means to make this connection and generate a one-page spreadsheet that provides all the critical numbers. In this way, you will be able to differentiate among various conditions and select from them the best option for your needs.
In summary, our product brings together complex simulation data for various scenarios of chemical process calculations (scale-up/scale-down and process evaluation) and presents it in a user-friendly Excel spreadsheet format, which allows the user to make good decisions based on simulated mixing parameters.
