Webinar “RSDE”

[ezcol_2third id=”” class=”” style=””]

Rotor Stator Dispersers (RSD) are equipment for high shear treatment of liquids, preparation of liquid – liquid dispersions, and destruction of aggregates of solid particles widely used in different industries (chemical, pharmaceutical, food, paints etc.)

Until recently, selecting a Rotor Stator Disperser for a specific application was a solely empirical (intuitive) process, in which engineers could not predict important parameters such as shear rates and shear stresses as function of design (dimensions) of the device, rotation speed and physical properties of media.

ViSiMix RSDE is the first software tool for mathematical modeling and calculation of main parameters of the processes in RSD equipment such as:

Shear rates and stresses in internal channels of RSD
Pumping capacity
Power consumption and Torque
Homogenization and emulsion formation

ViSiMix RSDE can be used for selecting/scaling up RSD with different types of rotor/stators and different installation schemes, both for Newtonian and non-Newtonian liquids.

Mathematical models and methods of calculation are based on results of many years of systematic experimental research in a wide range of design characteristics for different RSD types with Newtonian and non-Newtonian liquids.
All results of calculations are verified by comparison with experimental and practical data.
