VisiMix Forum -The Influence of Mixing in Processes From Laboratory to Production ScalePresentation Abstract

We describe a hydrodynamic simulation method (HSM) based on hydrodynamic principles in batch and semi-batch stirred reactor systems. The method integrates hydrodynamic analysis of mixing behavior, obtained from experiments conducted in both small- and large-scale stirred reactors, with process simulation using VisiMix software.

We demonstrate how this approach can support process optimization and scale-up. The application of the simulation method described in this article enables users to achieve optimal production performance while reducing development time and costs, and simultaneously enhancing process understanding.

Several examples presented in this article illustrate the benefits of the proposed method
