Slurry Homogenizer Tank
The word that we are using here, slurry homogenizer tank, everyone is taking into account different kinds of topics that we need to take into consideration. When we talk about slurry, we talk about a solid-liquid dispersion that we have in a tank that we use to manufacture our final product. The slurry will be generated by two main parameters: the chemical and physical properties of the media, it can be density, viscosity, density of the particle, particle size, distribution, and concentration of the solids in the tank. These input parameters are regarding the solid-liquid that we are using.
The second is the tank. The tank is assigned some geometry and shapes. The agitator we use in the tank is mainly to distribute the solids in the tank. And we need to have enough capability to take these solids and distribute them in the tank as best as possible and as conveniently as possible to the process. Not always high homogeneity is good for the process, nor always low homogeneity is good for the process. We need to find the conditions that will be good for the process, and what the level of homogeneity, the level of shear rate, and the level of operation we need to get into this medium to generate good results for my process.
And the last is a homogenizer. Why? Because the word homogenizer takes into consideration the fact that we want to generate as much homogenization as possible. And for this, maybe we need to take this solid and apply some high level of shear rate, some high level of distribution, some high level of operation that will be good for the process. So, these three words separately, everyone is important by itself, and the integration of these three words will generate some specific situations.
Now, a slurry homogenizer tank is a tank that we use to homogenize solids. And so that we will be happy with the use of this tank, we need to understand first, what is the level of homogenization in the tank, which kind of solids we will use, and whether this tank will be enough good for the quality, purity, productivity and operation that will be able to provide to our process. The integration of this is done by the professional team. The numbers that you will get from any simulation software are the physical properties of the media on one hand, and the capabilities of the tank to generate levels of homogeneity in the tank.
Once you are both together, and once you know what is good for the process. Because the process, you know the customer, the professional team knows better than everyone, this connection should be done, and this connection should be done by the professional team by taking in consideration, what are the conditions we’re providing to a material to interact and in other hand, what are the physical properties that we have in our materials to reach a process that will be good in purity, good in productivity and avoid problems regarding to the operation.
