VisiMix Forum – Mixing Assessment: Workflow and Case Studies – Industry Applications
Presentation Abstract
In this presentation, we will explore the various approaches we have developed for mixing studies, which have evolved alongside our growing understanding of mixing phenomena. We will walk through our standard workflow and illustrate a typical scale-up process—from laboratory experiments to full-scale industrial production. Finally, we will share several recent case studies demonstrating how mixing assessments have enabled Farmhispania Group to better understand the impact of mixing on multiple unit operations and to optimize industrial facilities to meet the specific requirements of diverse processes.
Presenter Biography
Marc Camps is a Chemical Engineer with a Master’s degree in Production Engineering and Organization. He has been part of Farmhispania Group since 2014 and currently works as a Process Engineer. Starting as an R&D technician on a biotechnology development project, he later contributed to the creation, development, and expansion of the modeling and simulation team, which collaborates across multiple departments. Today, his role involves evaluating processes from various perspectives for existing and active products, assessing new processes during scale-up from the development stage, and analyzing potential projects in their early phases.
